The island of Stegesund is attached to the island of Hästholmen. Both islands are well known for their large fin-de-siècle villas from late 1800. There are no cars on the islands, which makes bicycling and walking even nicer. Nature invites you to glittering narrow coastal inlets, tall oak trees and prosperous meadows. The villa invites you into a bright and spacious home with high levels of comfort.

Tennis: Play tennis on the only remaining Swedish outdoor tennis court made of wood! The locals are very proud of their tennis court, build originally 1904. Last weekend in July is the local tennis tournament.

The archipelago will offer you clean water and Nordic light.

In the small town, or rather village, of Vaxholm you will find food stores, fish monger, pharmacy, wine merchant, restaurants and more. Vaxholm is very picturesque and summertime the village is buzzing. Vaxholm cold easily be reached by your own boat or by taxi-boat.

Stockholm is close. Do not miss the Wasa Museum, Astrid Lindgren’s Junibacken or some good shopping! The local ferries are only 150 meters from the house and leave several times per day. The trip takes about one hour.
